The Scrum Master is accountable for the Scrum Team's effectiveness and progress. They do this by allowing the Scrum Team to improve its practices within the Scrum framework. Scrum Masters are genuine leaders who serve the Scrum Team and the larger organization.

Responsibilities of a Scrum Master

What the Scrum Master is not responsible for: The Scrum Master isn't responsible for solving all the team's problems. Instead, he needs to promote, support, and direct that Scrum is understood and lived in the organization. Whenever there is any problem that the team is able to solve, the Scrum Master needs to aid the team in solving that themselves.

It is important for a Scrum Master to act as a facilitator and guide, rather than a decision-maker for the team. This helps in promoting a self-organizing and efficient environment within the Scrum Team.
